Penske Hiring Truck Drivers Nationwide

Would you like to join adriving team that has an industry-leading safety record?

Penske’s professional drivers demonstrate their commitment to safety and service while making on-time deliveries to meet customers’ needs. With 200,000 Penske trucks on the road and a truck driver in each one, Penske understands what keeps drivers happy.

A Penske Logistics employee since 2005, Mike Reece is a proud truck driver for a medical supply customer account in Romulus, Mich. “Penske treats its drivers well,” Reece said. “Penske provides us with ongoing training opportunities to make us more confident, comfortable and safe. Penske really emphasizes the importance of safety.”

Penske operates only top-of-the-line late-model, clean, comfortable, well-maintained trucks from the best manufacturers to make drivers’ jobs safer, easier and more enjoyable. Plus, Penske’s 24/7 roadside assistance team supports drivers during unexpected circumstances.

“I believe Penske strives for greater professionalism and has higher expectations than most of its competitors,” Reece said.

Penske is looking for professional drivers, like Reece, who share our dedication to fleet safety and deep passion for customer service and high ethical standards. Candidates must have a commercial driver’s license, clean driving record, at least two years of previous experience for tractor-trailers and at least one year for straight trucks.

Whether you prefer to travel the country or stay close to home, Penske offers a variety of flexible professional truck driver shifts and positions:

  • Over-the-road driver: Transport cargo from distribution centers to local distribution outlets. Spend time at home one night per workweek and on weekends, generally.
  • Local driver: Transport merchandise from local distribution outlets to local retailers and production facilities. Spend time at home daily.
  • Part-time/Casual hiker positions: Enjoy the opportunity to work flexible hours and earn competitive pay.

“I enjoy the freedom of driving a truck,” said Reece, who spent several years as an over-the-road driver before becoming a local driver. “It’s been great seeing different areas of the country, but now I enjoy coming home every day.”

Penske Truck Leasing and Penske Logistics employ more than 4,000 truck drivers and hikers in the United States and Canada. If you are seeking a rewarding career as a truck driver, please visit the Penske careers page, or follow our job openings on Twitter. Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
