Penske Appeals to Supreme Court Over Truck Driver Rules

Today, Penske Logistics filed a petition seeking to have the United States Supreme Court review the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decision in the matter of Dilts et al. v. Penske Logistics LLC and Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P.

The crux of the case is whether a long-standing federal transportation law that seeks to promote lower rates and better service by ensuring that rates and services are determined by competitive market forces rather than a patchwork of varying state laws preempts California’s state laws requiring mandatory meal and rest breaks. Penske Associates Help Families Enjoy Thanksgiving

Adopt A FamilyPenske Truck Leasing and Penske Logistics associates banded together to donate hundreds of boxes of food to the Salvation Army of Reading that will benefit Berks County, Pa. families in need this Thanksgiving. In all, 105 families were provided with the makings of a traditional Thanksgiving meal from the turkey down to the dessert. For others, it is a time of camaraderie and parades to celebrate the freedom veterans have provided through their sacrifices and service.
